About Us
We are a well-established, forward-thinking and innovative GP surgery based in London.
Welcome to The Gardens Surgery
The Gardens Surgery is a long-established practice, providing high-quality, traditional family medicine. We strive to offer an accessible, efficient and high-quality service for our patients.

Meet our Team
We are a partnership of 3 GP Partners. We employ 3 Salaried GPs, and 1 Practice Nurses.
The Reception Team look after patients, their appointments, prescriptions and all the stuff that flies around - a massive amount of administration is involved in running a busy, surgery and this includes a backroom team of Workflow Administrators to handle the huge influx of correspondence and data each day.
Accessibility Needs
Here at The Gardens Surgery, we are committed to ensuring our practice is accessible and welcoming to everyone. If you have a disability, additional needs, or require extra support when visiting the surgery, please let a member of our team know so we can make reasonable adjustments to help you.
We can provide communication support, including interpreter services where needed. If you require a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter or language interpreter, please let us know when booking your appointment so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
If you have mobility needs or require assistance accessing the building, our team will be happy to help. We encourage patients to tell us about any accessibility requirements so we can record these on your medical record and ensure the right support is available for future appointments.
If you need information in an alternative format, such as large print, easy read, braille or audio, please contact the practice and we will do our best to provide this.
Our aim is to ensure that all patients can access our services safely, comfortably and with dignity. If you have any questions about accessibility or need additional support, please speak to a member of our reception team.
Practice Information
Improving Health Limited PCN
The Gardens Surgery is a member of our local Primary Care Network (PCN) and GP Federation, we are called Improving Health Limited.
By working with our neighbouring practices we provide excellent, proactive and coordinated care consistently and equitably to everyone living in South Southwark.
One of the benefits of working as a network is that all of our patients have access to GP appointments from 8am to 8pm 365 days per year at Tessa Jowell Health Centre.
This is not a walk-in service. An appointment can be booked at this service by a clinician at your practice if it is right for you. For some patients, for instance, those with more complex needs, it is more suitable to be seen at your own practice. You would also need to agree to share your medical records with the hub on arrival. Ask at the practice for more information.

Patient Participation Group
The provision of good access to high-quality patient care for the local population is at the heart of how the practice works. There is an active patient participation group (PPG) which helps to organise patient events on health-related topics as well as providing feedback to the practice staff. For more information please see our patient group pages
GP Patient Survey
The GP Patient Survey is an independent survey run by Ipsos MORI on behalf of NHS England. The survey is sent out to over two million people across England. The results show how people feel about their GP practice.

Our overall CQC Rating was: GOOD
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) makes sure hospitals, care homes, dental and GP surgeries, and all other care services in England provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care and encourages them to make improvements where possible.
